Get Ready for Arts Day 2017

Arts Day on Parliament Hill is quickly approaching, and with that comes information and resources that you can use to meet with your own MP. Whether or not you’ll be joining us in Ottawa on November 2, feel free to download and use these documents. We hope that they’ll prove useful to you when you meet with your MP.

Orientation and Logistics

  • The presentation deck from our delegate orientation webinar
  • A recording of our delegate orientation webinar (this will prompt your computer to open up Adobe Connect)
  • A delegate meet-up area will be set up in the Shenkman Atelier at the National Arts Centre and will be open from 8:30am to 4:30pm
  • MP Julie Dabrusin will be hosting the reception at 5:00 pm in the Commonwealth Room (238-S, Center Block). Make sure you have a photo ID to cross security checks.

Meeting Tools and Materials

If you’re joining us in Ottawa please remember to print out your meeting materials ahead of time. We’ll have a small number of materials printed out but are relying on each team to print out their own materials.

If you wish to meet with your MP in your riding, here is a meeting request template that you can use.

Social Media

We’ll be on social media during Arts Day, talking about the meetings that took place and sharing useful facts and stats about the arts in Canada. Make sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram, like us on Facebook and check out the #ArtsDay hashtag to keep informed.
