Are you, or do you want to be, an Arts Advocate who would like to join the Canadian Arts Coalition for Arts Day on the Hill this year?
On Arts Day on the Hill, artists, arts workers, arts service organizations, and national arts service organizations meet with MP’s and Senators to discuss how the federal government can support the Arts and Culture sector in the future. As an arts delegate, you will participate in a training webinar on what the collective messaging is for Arts Day and how meetings are conducted. The 2018 messaging is a short list of recommendations that the arts community puts together for the federal government in terms of their future budget and platform. Recommendations have been decided upon by Canadian Arts Coalition members at our Annual Meeting.
This year’s Arts Day on the Hill is on Tuesday, October 2nd, 2018 in Ottawa. We welcome you to register for the day which includes a training webinar, at least one meeting with an MP or Senator, and an evening reception with arts delegates and members of parliament. There is a $25 registration fee, which covers the cost of the training webinar, meeting, and reception.
Training Webinars are mandatory and are on September 24th (English) and September 25th (French) at 12pm ET.
